Meet GRR’s goofy, sweet boy, Boscoe! Boscoe is gentle, sweet, and loving with his humans. He’s also cute, outgoing and a very happy puppy. He loves to play and run zoomies through the yard and play with his foster sibling. He did dig in the new backyard sod but what puppy could resist the wonderful aroma and amazing smells from new sod!
Boscoe barks at dogs walking by but he’s learning to stop as his foster mom rewards him for calm, quiet behavior. He enjoys his snuffle mat, treat puzzles and a lick mat --- all of which engage his mind and help to tire this young boy out. He sleeps through the night and is happy to play and share toys with his friends.
As most young Goldens, Boscoe has some puppy moments --- if the opportunity presents itself, he will counter surf, try to bring his sticks in from outside and loves to chug all the water from the bowl. Boscoe is learning to pull less when walking on a leash and is quick to learn training commands. He is a lovey boy and will cuddle on the couch or in your bed with you. At times, he has high energy moments, of course, but is showing great progress with a daily routine. Boscoe is one smart boy; he has mastered using “potty bells” to let his people know when he needs to go outside. He is described as confident and outgoing, but also a sweet angel who is full of joy!
Boscoe was surrendered to Gold ribbon rescue as his owner thought he had a heart defect/disease. GRR had Boscoe examined by our vets and a cardiologist. Big News: Bosco’s cardiologist found no has no heart defect and should live a healthy happy life without restriction. GRR Matchmakers are happy to discuss and share his medical records if you have questions.
Ideal Home: Boscoe needs a home with a yard so he can run freely. He is very attached to his foster sibling so would do best in a home with another nice dog to play with and mentor him as Briscoe is a young puppy. Someone who works from home or only goes into the office a day or two a week would be ideal as suspect Briscoe would get in trouble being left alone all day. Lastly, Briscoe needs a family who will continue his obedience training and daily exercise as he’s a young, active puppy. In return, Briscoe will give you loving looks with his puppy-dog eyes and be your forever companion. Could Boscoe be the perfect pup to join your family?
